Enhancements Explained
Boost your performance with the right enhancements.

GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR GEAR
Enhancements give your equipment a temporary performance edge. Apply them in the Service Room before a race to boost one of four key attributes. Each enhancement uses energy — one container per race — so choose wisely.
Enhancement slots unlock gradually as you level up, so you’ll gain access to more simultaneous boosts the further you progress.
HOW IT WORKS
Before each race, you can see the track’s conditions — temperature, snow type, and surface. Pick the enhancement variant that matches those conditions for the strongest boost. Use a universal variant if you’re unsure, or go specialist when you want every edge.
1. SPEED ENHANCEMENTS (WAX)
Wax boosts your top speed, but effectiveness depends on track temperature.
- UNIWAX: Works under all conditions but has a weaker effect.
- PROWAX BLUE: Strong speed boost in very cold conditions, minimal effect otherwise.
- PROWAX RED: Strong speed boost in warm conditions, minimal effect otherwise.
- PROWAX WHITE: Strong speed boost in cold conditions, minimal effect otherwise.
Tip: Check the track conditions before selecting your wax — the right match makes a real difference on straights.
2. GRIP ENHANCEMENTS (EDGE SHARPENER)
Edge sharpeners improve your edge hold in turns, preventing sliding — critical on icy tracks.
- BASEGRIP: Works under all conditions but has a weaker effect.
- PROGRIP ICE: Strong grip boost on icy tracks, minimal effect otherwise.
- PROGRIP SNOW: Strong grip boost on fresh snow, minimal effect otherwise.
- PROGRIP MEDIUM: Strong grip boost in regular conditions, minimal effect otherwise.
Tip: Ice conditions reduce your grip by 20% — a well-matched Progrip can recover that penalty.
3. CARVE ENHANCEMENTS (LAMINATE)
Laminates improve how quickly you enter and hold a perfect carve, reducing speed loss through turns.
- BASE LAMINATE: Works under all conditions but has a weaker effect.
- PRO LAMINATE ICE: Strong carve boost on icy tracks, reduced effect otherwise.
- PRO LAMINATE SNOW: Strong carve boost on fresh snow, reduced effect otherwise.
- PRO LAMINATE INTERMEDIATE: Strong carve boost in regular conditions, reduced effect otherwise.
Tip: On technical Giant Slalom (GS) courses with tight gates, carve enhancements can matter more than raw speed.
ENHANCEMENT TIERS & UPLEVELING
Each enhancement comes in five tier levels, increasing its effect as you upgrade. Just like your equipment, enhancements can be upleveled to improve their performance. Higher-tier enhancements deliver stronger boosts but take longer to recharge — so upgrading is about finding the right balance between power and availability.
HOW TO GET ENHANCEMENTS
You’ll earn enhancements through Career rewards, loot boxes, and the Shop. Keep an eye on Events too — they’re a great source for stocking up on higher-tier variants.
